On Sunday, October 9, 2022 between 00:01 - 06:00 our private racks will be transferred from the datacenter of Athens Stock Exchange (110 Athens Ave., Athens) to the new datacenter of Nova/United Group (106 Athens Ave., Athens). Nova's new datacenter is built and operated taking into account the strictest implementation and international standards, making it compliant with the basic design principles of the Tier-4 standard according to the Uptime Institute. The key features of the new data center are as follows:
-Dual power supply with a total power capacity of 120 KW, with a plan to gradually upgrade to 200 KW within the next 5 years.
-Air conditioning system with a total power of 234 KW, high availability and redundancy (N+1 topology).
-Backup power supply system (Genset) with a total power of 1,000 KW, with an additional 1,080 KW backup if required.
-Modern automatic fire detection & extinguishing systems under the raised floor and above the suspended ceiling.
-Additional security camera systems, temperature & humidity monitoring, leak detection, etc.
-Extremely high and stringent levels of physical security (independent access zones, multiple checkpoints and staff authentication, 24X7 security staff, access control, CCTV, ISO 27001).
-Certified quality, security and availability of services provided:
ISO 9001, for quality and consistency of services provided.
ISO 27001, for the management of information security, as well as physical security.
ISO 14001, for the implementation of an Environmental Management System.
ISO 22301, for the Business Continuity Management System.
ISO 45001, for occupational health & safety of employees and risk reduction.
ISO 50001, for energy management and the implementation of appropriate processes to achieve optimal energy performance.
The transfer will affect all services provided from Greece (indicatively web hosting, cloud/dedicated servers, colocation, domain management system, helpdesk), for which period they will not be available. Any inbound e-mails sent during this period will be completed within the next 12 hours.
For the transfer, the entire infrastructure (cloud servers, dedicated servers, switches/routers) will be shutdown, the racks will be moved by specialized personnel and then the infrastructure will be reset in a specific order. Our staff will be stand by at the datacenter for any problems that may arise so that they can be resolved immediately. The estimated end time will be 06:00, however we believe that the service restoration will be completed earlier.
In any case, you will be able to see the progress of the process and any emergency updates at https://status.hyperhosting.gr/.
